GHG Protocol was our first social cause app

When we reached MVP of our Low-Code platform the first project we accomplished was the GHG Protocol APIs, which supplies the world’s most widely used Greenhouse Gas Accounting Standards. The standards are designed to provide a framework for businesses, governments, and other entities to measure and report their greenhouse gas emissions in ways that support their missions and goals. This is also part of the Vision of our company to create Applications, Modules with clear and tangible social impact.

GHG Protocol was our first Social-Cause Application on Symplat.

It provides the accounting platform for virtually every corporate GHG reporting program in the world. The standards were published as a series of workbooks for various activities.

We sanitized the GHG Calculators, structured them, and released as a beta for private use.

History of GHG Protocol

The Paris Agreement, adopted within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) in December 2015, commits participating all countries to limit global temperature rise, adapt to changes already occurring, and regularly increase efforts over time. GHG Protocol is developing standards, tools, and online training that helps countries and cities track progress towards their climate goals.

Low Code GHG Implementation

Accomplished in just 10 days using our Low-Code platform, our steps involved adding some patterns of entity relationships, enumeration grouping, entity hierarchy, and applying the calculators. We then published the APIs using a documentation tool which was not responsive but altered the source code to make it mobile-friendly using our component library, and applied our brand colors and usability standards.

What Are The Use-Cases For These APIs ?

These Calculators have many applications in the real-world; to Quantify the Carbon Footprint, to Report it and especially to Reduce it. On our own platform, we have the competence to Mash-Up these apis with many other Data-Models which we easily Reverse-Engineer with Mouse-Clicks.

We have extensive experience in Fintech Aggregation. The application we are most excited about building is; providing the carbon foot-print for daily-consumption based financial transactions.

We believe only when our individual carbon footprints, can be Quantified, Visualisied and Acted upon; can we have tangible outcomes and have a positive impact.

However if there are business use-cases which arise during the course of our Technical Consulting we are willing to demo these APIs post signing NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements) & clearing our vetting process.
